Chai Tea Recipe
Traditional Masala Chai 
This traditional Masala Chai recipe, passed down through the generations, will transport you to the East with the first
warming sip. We start with Indonique's rich full bodied black tea - imported from the
Blue Mountains of South India - then add the perfect blend of fresh spices, milk and sweetener. You'll understand why
it's been the beverage of choice in India for hundreds of years, and a conduit of
good health to her people.
 
Ingredients:
2 cardamom pods (Green or White)
1/4 teaspoon whole pepper
1/4 teaspoon clove
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon fresh or powdered Ginger
Pinch of nutmeg
2 cups of milk or dairy substitute
4 heaping tablespoons sugar or sugar substitute
2 cups of water
4 teaspoons Indonique S.Indian black tea
 
Directions:
Combine water and spices into sauce pan and bring to a boil over high heat add cold milk and return to a boil.
Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes
Strain into warm cups
Additional dairy and sweetener may be added to taste
 
For Iced Chai:
Repeat steps above doubling ingredients
Refrigerate
Pour over ice
